Alex in black suede has been really popular this season and it isn’t hard to see why! Every fa”shoe”nista out there knows the value of the staple black pump – and this one is such a great choice for the fall/winter season. If you’re into colored tights, you can have a LOT of fun with this shoe – pink, yellow, green, red – you name it, this Alex will rock it! Printed dresses are also in this season, so don’t forget to pair a funky dress or blouse with her either :)

The winter season always makes me think of cozy flannel  textures– so what better way to warm your toes than Alex in Gray Flannel? I was super excited to launch this particular shoe because not only is this texture is so unique for footwear, but let’s face it, ladies – Gray is the new black!  Alex in gray is a really fun alternative to your traditional black heels – wear her at work with practically anything! If you like more of a monochromatic look, you’ll love this Alex with charcoal or gray-hued tights, but as with Alex in black suede, don’t be afraid to go for brighter-colored tights, depending on your outfit. I LOVE gray flannel Alex with jeans  too!

Purple Tweed Alex is hands down one of my favorite shoes of the season.  Violet is such a great, feminine fall color and the combination of violet and tweed is completely irresistible! Fashionistas of all ages know that purple is a power color in every sense of the word – not only does it get attention, but it goes with nearly everything and  looks great on everyone.  Alex in purple tweed will really provide that pop of color you’re going for. In the office, pair her with trouser pants, skirts and dark tights, or even sheath & sweater dresses. She’s that versatile! And of course, what a great way to add a little va va voom to your favorite pair of jeans.

With the winter chill, don’t forget about scarves! I just love the colorful and cozy design of our LP scarves to add even more warmth to your outfits. I paired Alex with our new Berry Splash Blue Scarf, as well as our Firefly Scarf in purple (made to look tweed, though  it’s actually a smooth, soft texture), but those are just a few looks.  LP scarves come in a variety of fun, vivid colors and textures that are hard to find elsewhere!

During the month of April, Lindsay Phillips is embarking on a nationwide tour challenging schools across the country to raise funds for teacher projects in their communities at DonorsChoose.org. The inspirational entrepreneur will host “Celebrate and Educate Challenge” teacher appreciation events at select boutiques across the country, offering teachers 20% discounts on all Lindsay Phillips purchases. All attendees will receive a free gift from Lindsay Phillips as well as a Donors Choose “giving card” to encourage further contributions. Teachers will also be urged to post classroom projects on DonorsChoose.org. After one month of fundraising, the school in each area with the highest number of donors contributing to their project will receive a matching contribution from Lindsay Phillips, up to $1000.
