Autumn – the time of year when leaves begin to change, the temperature drops (even here in Florida, the weather is dipping into the cooler 80’s ;)), and new flavors emerge. For most of us gals, the fall time means incorporating more shades of pumpkin, plum, and camel into our daily ensembles! But it isn’t just the colors – the textures change too. Tweeds, knits, and exotic animal textures can really spice up your wardrobe.

In spite of all the fall fashion buzz, many women get overwhelmed with new seasonal trends and begin having the “I have NOTHING to wear” blues. Trust me, we all have these mini meltdowns. But chances are, you have many great staples in your wardrobe that can be easily (and affordably) accessorized with a new scarf – like the LP firefly pumpkin scarf shown above. One of the best ways to show off a brightly-colored, textured scarf is to wear a simple, neutral top underneath, like a white oxford shirt, or even a white or cream-colored long-sleeved tee (possibly shorter-sleeved, depending on your climate). If you don’t already have a few of these wardrobe staples consider adding one or two – you will wear them all of the time!

You can still absolutely pull off a great pair of sandals in the autumn – with the fall weather being so fickle,  a pair of wedge sandals that you can wear on warmer days is a fashion must! I LOVE our new Nicole Wedge, which features a patent leather-wrapped heel and signature ruffle strap. This wedge looks super chic with capris, skirts, and dresses, so she’s really quite versatile. If  the weather where you live is just too cold for sandals at this point, no worries! Many autumn looks, like the one featured above, are  just as fabulous when paired with opaque tights and a great pair of wedge shoes, like the Tan Courtney Peep-Toe Wedge. Don’t worry about making a fashion faux paux – even Rachel Zoe advocates pairing tights with peep-toed shoes; it’s a trendy, economical way keep them on your feet throughout the cooler seasons.
